Apple may have removed nearly all mention of their long-delayed AirPower wireless charger from their website, but they forgot to remove a reference to the product in the iPhone XS manual. (Warning “F” word included in below tweet. ::GASP!::)
BGR:
Replying to John Gruber, one of the two insiders that talked about the AirPower delay in previous days, Twitter user Gavin Stephens posted a photo of a page from the iPhone XS Manual that mentions AirPower explicitly.
But they definitely mention it in the new iPhone XS Max manual pic.twitter.com/qJO7kVc8bi

This indicates that Apple fully intended to have the charging mat ready for the launch of the new iPhones. Sadly, that didn’t work out for them.
The AirPower is designed to charge multiple Apple devices simultaneously, including iPhones, the Apple Watch, and even a set of AirPods. (Via the also much-delayed AirPods wireless charging case.)
Apple leaker Sonny Dickson claimed earlier this week that Apple has faced technical issues in completing the charging mat, with overheating and software issues continuing to delay the mat’s release.
