Pre-orders for Apple’s new iPhone XS Max and Apple Watch Series 4 devices kicked off at 12:01 a.m. Pacific Time, and it only took half an hour for shipping estimates in the United States to begin sliding.
While shipping estimates for the devices initially listed delivery estimates of next Friday, September 21. However, the estimates have for the most part slipped to October.
As of the time of this article, all colors and capacities of the iPhone XS Max from all four of the major cellular suppliers are now showing delivery estimates of September 28 to October 12. Some models are still showing in-store pickup on launch day as an option.
SIM-free models of the iPhone XS Max, which are not available for Apple’s iPhone Upgrade program and which must be paid for in full upfront still continue to show September 21 as a delivery date.
Meanwhile, shipping estimates for the iPhone XS have not as yet slipped, as it appear that early buyers are opting for the bigger “Max” model.
The Apple Watch Series 4 is proving to be popular, with almost all stainless steel Apple Watch Series 4 models are now listing shipping dates of October 5 to October 12. Supplies of the aluminum models are also beginning to disappear.
There are still multiple options for Cellular+GPS models are still available. However, almost all options for the less expensive GPS-only models are listing October shipping dates.
