Apple has updated their Events app for the Apple TV, just ahead of next Wednesday’s “Gather Round” iPhone event, where the Cupertino firm will debut their new iPhone lineup and new Apple Watch models, as well as accessories.
Viewers will be able to use the Events app to view the live steam of next Wednesday’s event. The Gather Round event, which will be held the Steve Jobs Theater at the Apple Park campus. will begin as 10:00am Pacific Time, 1:00pm Eastern. The event can also be viewed via your browser, at the Apple Events web page.
The Apple Events app update is available through the tvOS App Store.
Apple is expected to debut three new iPhones at the event, including a 5.8-inch OLED model, a 6.5-inch OLED iPhone, and a lower-cost 6.1-inch LCD iPhone. All three models are expected to boast edge-to-edge displays, and the TrueDepth Camera System that will allow the use of Face ID.
New Apple Watch models are also expected to be unveiled at the event, which will feature smaller bezels, allowing for larger displays. Also possibly making an appearance may be refreshed AirPods, and the longer-delayed debut of the AirPower wireless charging mat.
