Just ahead of the big iPhone event on Wednesday, images said to be of the much-rumored 6.1-inch “iPhone Xc” have been released. The images, which allegedly show “prototype” devices, displays the new device in four different colors, including a sure to be popular red version.
The images were Twitter by Ben Geskin by , and show the device in four colors: white, space gray, rose gold, and red. The shots show a device with the same back glass design as used on the current iPhone lineup.
While Geskin originally posted the photos as “clones/dummy models,” he later tweeted that the photos were of “real deal Prototypes.”
Guys… this is not clones or dummy models.. this is a real deal 🤯 Prototypes https://t.co/B8KESnTjx2

While the photos show the device will be available in red from day-one, Apple has traditionally offered a red model midway through the model year as a PRODUCT(RED) model.
The photos also show aluminum edges on the lower-priced LCD iPhone model, as well as a single lens camera setup, just like the current iPhone 8 model. In addition, one photo shows a dual-SIM card slot, which has been mentioned in a large number of rumors. However, the dual-SIM card slot could be limited in availability to certain markets.
As is normal in reports like these, be sure to take them with a grain of your favorite heart-healthy seasoning. Luckily, we’ll know on Wednesday just how accurate the images prove to be, when Apple debuts the 2018 iPhone lineup.
