Group FaceTime Will be Missing at iOS 12 Public Release

iOS 12’s Group FaceTime won’t be available when Apple releases the new mobile operating system next month.

The feature, one of the headlining features of the new OS has been available during the iOS 12 beta, the company announced the feature would not be part of the initial public release, anticipated to be released in September alongside the new iPhones.

Apple made the announcement via the developer notes accompanying today’s latest beta, and says only that the feature “has been removed from the initial release of iOS 12 and will ship in a future software update later this fall.”

When Group FaceTime is finally released to the public, it will allow up to 32 users to participate in a single FaceTime call.
