Apple on Monday released tvOS 11.4.1 to the public. The minor update to the operating system for fourth and fifth-generation Apple TV models brings the ever-popular performance enhancements and bug fixes.
Apple doesn’t supply release notes for tvOS updates, so it’s difficult to tell what issues that the new version of tvOS fixes.
The update will be downloaded automatically on Apple TV units set to automatically download updates, or the device can be manually updated by going into the Settings app and selecting “System” -> “Software Updates” -> “Update Software.”
This could be one of the last updates to the tvOS 11 operating system, as tvOS 12 is currently in beta testing by developers and public beta testers. The new operating system – which brings with it support for Dolby Atmos, a new zero sign-on feature, new aerial screensavers from the International Space Station and more – will be released to the public this fall.
