A number of photos of Apple staff showed up on Twitter on Sunday. Many of the Apple employees were wearing a custom-made Pride shirt featuring the Apple logo. While the official number of the Cupertino company’s employees that sowed up for the event hasn’t been officially published, early estimates placed Apple numbers at around 1,000.

Apple CEO Tim Cook, who is gay, tweeted about the event via his personal Twitter account.

Apple and its employees participate annually in the Pride parade, and past years have included appearances by CEO Cook and other executives. The company is a well-known backer of LGBT causes, and was one of the first U.S.-based companies to extend family benefits to same-sex partners.

Apple Vice President Lisa Jackson also tweeted about the event.
