Warren Buffet’s Berkshire Hathaway recently revealed that it has increased its stake in Apple (AAPL) to 240.3 million shares, which was worth over $42 billion at the time of the disclosure. The revelation was part of a regulatory filing by the company.
The increase brings Berkshire’s stake in the Cupertino firm to 5% , which made it the second-largest stakeholder in the company, behind only the Vanguard Group. Berkshire passed BlackRock Inc to grab the second position.
Buffett recently said he’d like to own more Apple stock, going as far as to say he’d love to own 100% of the company. Berkshire Hathaway bought an additional 75 million shares of Apple during the first quarter of 2018.
