Microsoft’s ‘Your Phone’ App Will Mirror Your iPhone on Windows 10 PCs

Microsoft on Monday unveiled “Your Phone,” an upcoming Windows 10 app that will allow iPhone and Android users to mirror those devices on their Windows 10 PC. The app debuted at the Redmond company’s annual Build conference, held in Seattle, Washington.

While few details are known about the app’s full functionality when it comes to the iPhone, Android users will benefit from full mirroring of their devices, with access to texts, files, photos, and notifications.

Functionality for iPhones will likely be more limited, due to Apple’s iOS sandboxing and API access policies are more restrictive than Android, mainly for security purposes.

Your Phone testing will begin with Windows Insiders members later this week. The members of the program will provide feedback on the app, helping to develop the app and squash bugs during development. The app could be released to the public as soon as this fall, alongside the “Redstone 5” Windows 10 update.
