Apple continues to offer special deal to users of Apple Pay, their contactless payments solution. The latest promotion, sent to Apple Pay users via email, offers free delivery of groceries ordered through the Instacart app that are paid for with Apple Pay through February 28.
To take advantage of the free delivery offer, customers will need to spend at least $35 on their order. Taxes and service fees are applied as usual. Also, take note that Instacart has something called “Busy Pricing” which is an extra fee added to deliveries during the busiest parts of the day. So, you might end up paying some type of delivery fee, depending on the time of day.
Normally, Instacart orders usually cost $5.99 to be delivered. However, the service also offers “Instacart Express” memberships, which offers free delivery for orders over $35 with a $14.99 per month or $149 per year subscription payment.
For those willing to go out and about to do their grocery shopping, the new email also promotes the Raley’s, Giant Eagle, Sprouts, Stop & Shop, Whole Foods, and Wegmans grocery chains, all of which accept Apple Pay at checkout.
Users who wish to take advantage of this and other special offers can add their credit or debit card to Apple Pay, by doing the following:
