Have you ever deleted an email by accident when working on the Mail app on your iOS device? Yeah, me too. I usually have it happen when I go to swipe left on an email to quickly delete it, while at the same time, my device decides to load new emails. Goodbye email I’ve never seen, while the email I meant to delete is still sitting there, in the list, smirking at me.
Luckily, you can get that deleted email back in two shakes of a lamb’s tail. Well, more like one shake of your iOS device, but I always liked that old saying…
If you accidentally delete an email from your iOS device that you’d like to get back, you could always go dig in the Trash folder and find it, but you can also do the following:
1.) Shake your iOS device.
2.) You’ll see a prompt appear on the screen that says, “Undo Archive.” Tap the “Undo” button.
3.) The deleted email will be immediately retrieved, and placed back into your Inbox.
4.) Now you can learn more about that “classic series” you’ve been missing on HBO.
This method quickly brings an accidentally deleted email back to your inbox, with no digging. Note: You do need to perform the above actions immediately after deleting the email.
