Apple has updated its Apple Events app for the fourth-generation Apple TV, just ahead of next week’s iPhone unveiling, set for Tuesday September 12 at 10:00a.m. Pacific time.
The updated app features a redesigned icon and internal art, which includes the Apple logo featured in the media invites to the event. “Watch the first-ever special event held at the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino, California,” reads the text of the updated app.
Users will be able to use the Apple Events app to live stream the event on their fourth-generation Apple TV. The app can be downloaded free, from the tvOS App Store. If you already have the app installed on your Apple TV, it will update automatically. You can also force an update by selecting “Update” on the app’s screen in the tvOS App Store.
Apple is expected to debut a new flagship iPhone 8, iPhone 7s, iPhone 7s Plus, an updated Apple Watch featuring LTE connectivity, and a 4K-capable Apple TV.
