Apple will hold its iPhone event later today, where the Cupertino firm will unveil its new “iPhone X” flagship handset. As is traditional for events like this, the Apple online store has gone down, reopening following the event.
Apple’s event will kickoff at 10:00a.m. Pacific Time (1:00p.m. Eastern), live streaming from the new Steve Jobs Theater, located at Apple’s new Apple Park headquarters. The event can be viewed via Mac, iOS, and Apple TV devices.
The event is expected to feature the unveiling of a new “iPhone X” handset, boasting an OLED display, facial recognition, wireless charging, and a more powerful, 6-core A-series processor.
Also expected to make an appearance is a new Apple TV set top box, capable of displaying 4K HDR video, with 4K content available for streaming from Apple’s iTunes store.
The Apple Watch Series 3 wearable is also expected to debut at the show, boasting LTE connectivity, and a possible battery life and processor bump. Redesigned AirPod earpods may make an appearance, possibly boasting a redesigned charging case.
MacTrast will provide a wrap-up of the events and its announcements following the end of the event. Stay tuned.
