As is traditional before most big Apple events, The Cupertino firm’s online store has went down for updating. The store should be available once more following today’s WWDC 2017 keynote address, where Apple is expected to announce new hardware.
Currently, although users can view product information for items such as iPads, iPhones, and Macs, clicking the “Buy” button results in a “We’ll be Back” message, as seen above.
Apple is expected to announce new products at today’s Worldwide Developers Conference keynote. Updated MacBooks, and possibly new iPads and a Siri smart speaker (HomePod) are expected to debut later today.
It is a bit out of the norm for Apple to shut down their online store for updates ahead of WWDC, as the keynote usually introduces operating systems and new software features. So, today’s shutdown of the online store is a good omen for those anticipating hardware announcements.
The Cupertino firm is also expected to debut new versions of iOS, macOS, tvOS, and watchOS during today’s keynote. The WWDC 2017 conference keynote begins at 10AM Pacific/1PM Eastern time today. Stay tuned.
