Delivery Dates for 15-in MacBook Pro Slide to Same Week as WWDC 2017

Free delivery estimates for 15-inch MacBook Pro orders placed today have slipped to June 6-8 in the United States, indicating delivery during Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC 2017), which kicks off on June 5.

MacRumors:

The delivery estimates lend credence to a report claiming Apple plans to announce new MacBook Pro and 12-inch MacBook models at the WWDC keynote on June 5. The notebooks are expected to receive internal improvements only, including an upgrade to Intel’s faster Kaby Lake processors.

In-store availability for pickup are showing as June 8, also indicating a possible refresh of the 15-inch models is on the way. 13-in MacBook Pro models remain available for delivery as soon as tomorrow in the U.S.. and several other countries. This could indicate Apple doesn’t plan to refresh the 13-inch models next week, or there may simply be more of those models available.

Apple in the past has staggered the release of various MBPro models in the past. As recently as 2015, it released a 13-inch MBPro model in March, followed by a 15-inch refresh in May.

The MacBook Pro was last refreshed in October 2016, when the models equipped with the new OLED Touch Bar were released.
