If you’re like me, you have multiple email accounts setup on your iPhone or iPad. So, you may not always want to send an email to someone from your default email address. Here’s how to change the “From” email address on the fly before sending an email in the iOS 10 mail app.
Let’s say you found an interesting email you want to send to your boss. (“You found an interesting email you want to send to your boss.” OK, I had to get that one out of my system.) But seriously, you want to send the email from your work account, but your personal account is your default email address.
Do the following to change the “From” address before sending an email:
1.) Compose your email as you usually would.
2.) Tap the “From” address in the message.
3.) Swipe on the little “spinner” selector at the bottom of the screen until you find the email address you want to send from.
4.) Tap the new “Send From” email address.
5.) Look at the “From:” field to make sure the correct email address is displayed.
6.) Send your email when ready.
By using this technique, you can send an email from any of the email accounts you have setup on your iOS device. (Yes Clint, even your “cuddlebug@sparklyponies.com” account.)
