Apple announced their new (PRODUCT)RED iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus Tuesday morning, and it didn’t take long at all for the first unboxing video to hit the web.
While the new red iPhones won’t be available for purchase until Friday, March 24, tech vblogger Marques Brownlee was able to snag one a few days early and posted a video of the unboxing Tuesday afternoon.
The (PRODUCT)RED iPhone 7 Plus (Brownlee notes that its a 256GB iPhone 7 Plus), is shipped in a box decorated with a red iPhone, and adorned with red text. Inside the box are the iPhone, the usual manuals, cable, and Lightning Earpods, as well as a special (PRODUCT)RED insert.
Brownlee reacts to the new device with a “”Wow, this thing is really red and really good looking,” comment, and later calls it the most photogenic iPhone he’s seen in a long time.
Brownlee notes the new device has a super saturated, almost satin finish, which isn’t as dark as the black iPhone models, making it not as apt to show fingerprints.
