A report by Nikkei Asian Review cites the ever popular “unnamed source” who claims the Chinese firm will build next to Apple’s site to “better help Apple create prototypes of new products in this new campus.”

Another source told Nikkei that Foxconn started considering the new facility when Apple announced its Shenzhen plant last October during Chief Executive Tim Cook’s visit to the city.

Foxconn already owns two large campuses in Shenzhen, where it reportedly develops and tests new products. The report claims that the Asian company’s most recent endeavor has been an attempt to build the much-rumored wireless charging module for the 10th anniversary iPhone models, set to launch in fall of this year.
