Apple on Monday seeded the third beta of their upcoming iOS 10.2.1 update to developers for testing. The new seed comes three weeks after the second beta seed of the mobile OS.
Registered Apple developers can download beta three of the iOS 10.2.1 update — Build 14D23 — directly from the Apple Developer Center, or over the air on iOS devices with the proper configuration profile installed.
So far, no noticeable new features have been noticed in the iOS 10.2.1 beta seeds. As a minor 10.2.x update, it likely contains only bug fixes and performance updates, with little to no outward facing new features. We’ll update this post if we find out differently.
Late last week, tech blogger Sonny Dickson claimed Apple will release the first beta of iOS 10.3 on January 10. He claims the new version of Apple’s mobile operating system will include a new “Theater” mode. Tomorrow is the 10th, so we’ll see what we see then and keep you posted.
