T-Mobile announced on Thursday that they’ll give one free year of DirecTV NOW service to any AT&T Wireless customer that switches to T-Mobile ONE, a $420 value.
“AT&T wants you to think DIRECTV is theirs exclusively, but that’s a load of crap. Both DIRECTV NOW and the DIRECTV apps stream free on T-Mobile with a faster, more advanced network that covers nearly every American,” said John Legere, president and CEO of T-Mobile. “AT&T is so distracted by their new businesses and DIRECTV that they continue to ignore their 110 million wireless customers. Luckily, the Un-carrier’s here to show them how to actually take care of customers!”
To get the free year of DirecTV NOW, AT&T customers need to activate two lines with T-Mobile, and move their numbers to T-Mobile ONE. The carrier will then apply a $35 bill credit to the customer’s account each month, for 12 months, as long as your lines are active. Even if you decide you don’t like DirecTV NOW and drop it, you still get the credit from T-Mobile.
Plus, all Simple Choice customers can now stream DirecTV NOW via T-Mobile LTE without the streaming counting against their monthly data cap, via the Magenta carrier’s Binge On service.
