Less than one day following its release, Nintendo’s new endless runner, Super Mario Run, sits at the top of both the Free Apps chart and the Top Grossing chart.
Super Mario Run is the first Mario title to come to the iOS platform, and as such has been hyped to the max since its September unveiling. The top banner of the iOS App Store is completely taken up by Super Mario-related graphics. Usually a number of apps are promoted there. The app is a free download, but requires a $9.99 in-app purchase to unlock the entire game.
The new game has bene much better received than Nintendo’s previous iOS effort, Miitomo, which quickly faded after its introduction in the App Store. The new game currently carries a 4-star rating, with nearly 22,000 ratings at the time of this post.
Super Mario Run is free, and is available for iOS devices in the App Store. A $9.99 in-app purchase is required to unlock all of the game. Also, an Internet connection is also required to play. [GET IT HERE]
