Revamped iCloud.com Photos App Now Available to All

After being tested on the iCloud beta site for the last month, a new update for the web-based Photos app is now available to all users on iCloud.com. (Via Mac Generation)

The update includes a macOS-like Photos app experience, offering an optional sidebar, and a scrollable thumbnail view of each photo in an album, which is available at the bottom of the webpage when users are viewing individual photos. Previous version of the Photos app on iCloud.com located the albums at the top of the page.

The redesigned site also offers a group of five buttons in the top right corner of the web app, which allows users to upload, add, download, share, and delete albums and photos.

Yet to appear in the web version of the Photos app are a number of macOS and iOS features, such as editing, shared albums, memories, and the “People” facial recognition-based organizing feature.

The new features are available to users at the iCloud.com website.
