If you’ve ever worried about your four-legged friend, and what kind of trouble he might be getting into at home while you’re not there, be sure to check out Pet Monitor from indie developer Martin Man. The app makes use of two iOS devices to easily monitor your pet, and interact with it, when you’re away.
Pet Monitor is a breeze to setup. Simply purchase and install the app on one iOS device, and then install it on the second device. (The second installation is free.) Then, plug the iOS device you’ll keep at home into power, run the app, and point the camera at the area you wish to monitor. The device will monitor the area for noise and motion. Then, run the app on the second iOS device, such as an iPhone that’s carried during the day, and that device will receive notifications when the home iOS device detects motion or noise.
If a user receives a notification, they can simply tap it and be taken to a live video feed where they can then monitor their pet. The app uses two-way video and sound, ala FaceTime to allow the owner to talk to the pup and calm it if needed.
Features
The app can be installed on up to 10 devices using the same Apple ID that was used to purchase the app. It can also be installed on up to 6 Family Sharing devices. Multiple users can view the video feed at once.
Users can also capture photos form the live video stream, and share them with friends and family via messaging or popular social media sites.
Pet Monitor 1.0 is $4.99, and is available for iOS devices in the App Store. [GET IT HERE]
