Apple on Thursday seeded the sixth macOS Sierra 10.12.2 beta to developers and public beta testers. The sixth seed comes a few short days following the fifth beta release of the upcoming Mac operating system update.
Thursday’s seed – build 16C63a – is available for download through the Apple Developer Center, as well as through the “Update” tab in the Mac App Store.
The macOS Sierra 10.12.2 beta includes the same new and updated emoji that are included with the iOS 10.2 beta, also released earlier last week. This includes support for Unicode 9 and the new professions emoji. Apple has also updated many of the existing emoji, with added details, offering a brighter and more realistic look. The update also focuses on the usual bug fixes and performance enhancements, which are designed to address any issues that users have discovered since the release of macOS Sierra 10.12.1.
macOS 10.12.2 comes on the heels of the September release of macOS Sierra. Apple’s latest Mac operating system includes new features like Siri on the Mac, Apple Pay on the web, picture-in-picture video playback, and more.
