MacBook Pro with Touch Bar orders began appearing earlier this week for some lucky customers, and now reports are coming in about limited quantities of the new machine becoming available at select Apple retail stores.
MacRumors reader Nicholas was able to purchase a new 15-inch MacBook Pro at the Apple Store in La Brea, California, and according to a Reddit thread, several other stores across California have also been selling Touch Bar MacBook Pro models. New MacBook Pros have been spotted in Rancho Cucamonga, Fairview, Emeryville, and Walnut Creek, and one Redditor claims to have purchased a 13-inch MacBook Pro from the Soho Apple Store in New York, while a MacRumors reader says he found a MacBook Pro in New Jersey.
While stores in other parts of the U.S. haven’t yet made the new models available for purchase, a number of customers have been told to expect them to be in stock later today. Other customers report their stores have informed them that no new models featuring the Touch Bar will be available for purchase until after Thanksgiving, so check with your local stores before making the trek to check the new laptop out.
Apple retail stores are expected to have display models of the new notebook available by the end of this week. In the Hong Kong Apple Store, a Touch Bar-equipped model has been on display since Monday.
