If you’re one of a large number of iCloud users that have received spam in the form of an unsolicited Calendar event for “Black Friday” deals such as the one below for Ray-Ban and Oakley sunglasses, we’ve got a way for you to get rid of these without letting the spammers on the other end know that they’ve got a live one.
The offers have been appearing in personal iCloud calendars with the only options to replay with “Accept”, “Decline”, or “Maybe.” Unfortunately, if you click any of these options, (SIGH! as we did before seeing a better solution on MacRumors), it will let the spammers know the account is live, and you’ll continue to get more unsolicited iCloud Calendar invitations.
Here’s how to get rid of the spam invites without letting the spammers know your address is live:
That should put an end to the spam Calendar events, and the spammers will never know what happened on your end.
