Apple Releases Tweaked iOS 10.1.1 Update

Apple on Wednesday released a minor iOS 10.1.1 update, which is the current version of the iOS 10 mobile operating system. The update doesn’t rate a version number change, merely an updated build number.

iOS 10.1.1, available starting today, has a build number of 14B150, compared to the original iOS 10.1.1 release build number of 14B100, which was released on Halloween.

The new build is currently available only as a download from Apple’s update servers via iTunes, and not as an over-the-air update to any devices that already have the first version of iOS 10.1.1 installed. The new version will likely download to devices that haven’t already installed the iOS 10.1.1 update.

Apple’s changelog for the new version did not contain any new information for the updated build, so at this point we don’t know exactly what it fixes or changes. The first version of iOS 10.1.1 fixed a bug that caused Health data to be unavailable for some users.
