Apple Pay added over 30 Australian banks last week, via a deal with Cuscal Payments Group. That deal should extend availability of the payments solution to over 4 million additional Australian users. The deal includes Bank Australia, Australia’s first customer owned bank. The bank says more than 60% of its nearly 130,000 customers use Apple devices when accessing Bank Australia’s digital banking services via mobile.

“Bank Australia is proud to be among the early financial institutions in Australia to offer its customers Apple Pay,” said Bank Australia Managing Director Damien Walsh. “Our customers have been asking us for Apple Pay, and we’re excited to respond.”

Earlier this week, Apple announced that a number of nonprofit organizations in the United States are now able to accept donations via Apple Pay. Previously, Apple’s app rules prevented iOS apps from collecting funds for charities or fundraisers using the payments service.

A total of 19 charities are currently accepting Apple Pay donations , while 5 others will soon offer Apple’s payments solutions as an option to make donations.

September saw Apple bring Apple Pay on the Web to the Mac, which allows users to pay for purchases or services in Safari on their Mac, by using their Apple Watch or compatible iPhone to authenticate the payment.

Adding Your Credit or Debit Card to Apple Pay

Users can add their credit or debit card to Apple Pay, by doing the following:

  • iPhone users running iOS 9 can go to the Wallet app and tap the “+” icon in the upper right-hand corner to begin, and then just follow the prompts. Users of iPads with Touch ID can add a card to the service to use in apps by going into “Settings” -> “Wallet & Apple Pay” to add a card there.
  • Apple Watch users will need to enter the Watch app on their iPhone, Tap on the “Wallet & Apple Pay” option, and then tap the “Add Credit or Debit Card” option.
