Apple will be adding more older MacBook, MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, and Mac mini models to its list of vintage and obsolete products on December 31, 2016. The affected products will lose official Apple repair support through Apple retail stores and authorized resellers.
As of December 31, 2016, all the following Macs will become either vintage or obsolete in the United States, Canada, Japan, Europe, Latin America, and the Asia-Pacific region:

Vintage products are those Apple Products that have not been manufactured for more than 5 and less than 7 years ago. The company discontinues hardware service for vintage products, with a few exceptions for products purchased inTurkey and California.
Obsolete products are those that were discontinued more than 7 years ago. TheCupertino firm has discontinued all hardware service for obsolete products with no exceptions.
