Latest Drone Video Shows Apple Campus 2 Project Nearing Completion

The latest 4K drone video from Matthew Roberts shows an Apple Campus 2 project that is quickly nearing completion. Especially noticeable is the landscaping progress made since last month, with large trees “sprouting” up all over the new campus.

The video also shows solar panel installation to be around 50% complete. Canopy installation is also nearing completion. The video notes there are fewer construction cranes on-site than there were in previous visits.

It also looks as if the inside of the ring-shaped construct is taking form, with the garden, pond, and outdoor dining areas shown to be taking shape. The Research & Development and Maintenance facilities are also quickly coming together. The two main parking garages, are also looking good. The completed campus will feature 300 charging stations for electric cars.

The large water feature in the center of the ring has been receiving a lot of love from workers, as it has begun taking form – with an outline, large boulders, and such appearing over the last few months. The central area will also feature trails for cycling and jogging. As a related note, the 100,000 square foot employee fitness center is also coming along nicely.

Apple Campus 2 construction is expected to be completed by the end of 2016, and employees are expected to begin moving their gear in sometime around the first part of 2017. Although employees will begin moving in at that time, a number of details of the project, such as landscaping, will still be underway, and will continue through the first half of next year.
