Apple on Monday released macOS Sierra 10.12.1, the first update to the macOS Sierra operating system, which debuted on September 20. The new update release follows a month of beta testing by developers and public beta testers.
macOS Sierra users can download and install the new update by visiting the Mac APp Store and clicking the “Update” tab.
The macOS Sierra 10.12.1 update offers little in the way of outward changes, instead offering iPhotos support for the new iPhone 7 Plus Portrait feature, which was introduced in iOS 10.1, also released to the public on Monday. The update also features bug fixes and performance improvements, as well as features for use with the next-generation MacBook Pro models that will debut later this week.
