It’s time for another peek at the still-under-construction Apple Campus 2 project. A pair of stunning 4K videos from Matthew Roberts and Duncan Sinfield shows a project that is nearing completion, and is beginning to show signs of coming to life. Or, at least one that’s coming to light.
The videos show a construction project reaching its last few months, as various bits of landscaping and lighting are beginning to appear, construction cranes are disappearing, and water features are beginning to take shape. Apple has flipped the switch on some of the exterior lighting, and walking paths and various final touches to courtyard gardens and other green areas around the huge circular structure are appearing.
The underground auditorium, which will be home to future product reveals and other major announcements, is showing signs of excellent progress, as are solar panel installations (around 40% complete).
Many of the accompanying projects apart from the main campus, which include a new Research & Development facility, a fitness center and parking garage, and the support buildings located along Tantau Avenue, are showing nice progress, as they have quickly shaped up over the last month.
Apple has said it expects the Campus 2 project to be completed by the end of 2016, and the company will begin moving employees in sometime around the beginning of 2017.
