Crowds of customers began lining up overnight for the grand opening of Apple Vía Santa Fe, the first Apple Store in Mexico. Saturday’s grand opening marks the first time customers in Mexico City can experience all of Apple’s products and services in one place.

Apple CEO Tim Cook also celebrated the store’s grand opening, via a post on Twitter:

The tweet translates to: “Mexico Thank you for having us!” (Via Google Translate.)

Apple’s Senior Vice President of Retail, Angela Ahrendts, also tweeted about the event:

In addition to selling Apple’s line of products, the store features Apple’s latest store design, featuring terrazzo floors, quartz walls and oak tables, as well as gathering spaces. “Avenues,” inspired by window displays along a shopping street, line the walls with interactive displays dedicated to music, creativity, gaming and more.

The store will also offer hands-on training to local entrepreneurs, developers and other business customers in a unique Boardroom. It will also host year-round programs for kids, including Field Trip, which welcomes students and teachers to the Apple Store for learning experiences.
