Apple has kicked off pre-orders for their Apple Watch Series 2, Apple Watch Series 2 Nike+, and the updated Apple Watch Series 1 smartwatches in 27 markets around the world.
Markets where pre-orders are available for Apple’s latest wearable devices are; Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, UAE, the UK and the U.S.
Apple Watch Series 2 shipments are expected to begin next week, when they will also arrive in-store. The Nike+ version is expected to begin arriving late October. At this point in time, some Series 2 models are showing shipping estimates of 2-3 weeks. Series 1 devices are showing September 16th as a delivery date.
Pre-orders for the Series 1 and 2 Watches kickoff in Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Cayman Islands, Croatia, Czech Republic, El Salvador, Greece, Guam, Hungary, Jersey, Kuwait, Macau, Monaco, Poland, Qatar, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia and the US Virgin Islands on Sept. 23, and in India and Mexico on Oct. 7.
The Apple Watch Series 2 starts at $369 for the 38mm aluminum version, 42mm models start at $399. Pricing for the Nike+ version is identical. Stainless steel models start at $549 for the 38mm, and $599 for 42mm. White ceramic will run $1,249 for the 38mm case, and the 42mm model comes in at $1,299.
Apple’s updated Series 1 Apple Watch, with an improved dual-core chip, is available for a reduced price of $269 for the 38mm model, and $299 for the 43mm model.
