Tim Cook Speaks Out Against ‘Senseless Killings’ of Two Black Men, Sends Condolences to Families of Slain Dallas Police Officers

Apple CEO Tim Cook has posted a call for justice via Twitter, in the wake of two fatal police shootings of black men in the last two days. Cook also tweeted condolences to the families of the Dallas police offices who were shot and killed by snipers Thursday night.

Cook’s first tweet, was in reference to the fatal police shootings of two black men in separate incidents in Minnesota and Louisiana.

In the tweet, Cook included a link to a tweet by Georgia 5th District Congressman John Lewis, who had posted that yesterday was the 55th anniversary of his release from Parchman Penitentiary following his arrest for using a “white” restroom.

Thursday evening saw more violence, as five Dallas police officers were killed, and six more wounded, by snipers who struck during protests over the earlier deaths. Cook sent a new tweet this morning, expressing his condolences to the family of the fallen officers.

Earlier today, Cook also posted a quote from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
