Apple has released a series of woven nylon straps for the Apple Watch to celebrate the 2016 Summer Olympics. The bands – featuring designs that represent the flags of the 14 major countries competing in the games – are sadly only available at a single Apple Store, located in the game’s host city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
GQ reports the Olympic Apple Watch nylon straps will only be available at the VillageMall Apple Store in Barra da Tijuca, which is a short 15-minute drive from the Barra Olympic Park.
The patriotic nylon flag straps represent Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, Great Britain, Japan, Jamaica, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand, South Africa and USA. A sampling can be seen above. (You can see all 14 straps at GQ.com)
While the straps don’t go on sale until early next month, American sprinter Trayvon Brommel managed to get his wrist into an early version of the Team USA iteration and tweeted a picture of the product on Thursday, as seen below.
If you’re planning on attending the games in Rio, you can grab one for your Watch for only $49 USD. These things are sure to become collectors items.
