Apple is looking to be on track in its efforts to open their first retail stores in both Mexico and Singapore. Photos show work is progressing nicely on both Apple Store locations.
AppleInsider on Tuesday posted a photo from “a trusted source,” showing progress on Apple’s first Mexico City store in the Centro Santa Fe mall.
The still under construction site is shielded from prying eyes by the traditional black construction barrier. The store is said to be roughly three times the size of the boutique-type stores found in the upscale mall.
The new location will include space for a Genius Bar, boast custom wood cabinetry for accessories, and the usual iconic wooden tables. AI says there hasn’t been any indication whether the outlet will include the 37-foot custom built HDTV display that Apple has been installing in some of its recently renovated stores.
No date has been set for the Mexico City store’s Grand Opening, though Apple began accepting job applications for the location back in January, so the next few months sounds like a reasonable timeframe for the opening.
9to5Mac has posted some new photos of the upcoming Singapore Apple Store, which is also still under construction. The site is showing encouraging signs of progress, and looks to be on schedule for its posted October 31st date of completion.
The photos, from a 9to5Mac reader, show work is well under way on all three floors, on the upcoming Orchard Road location. The publication has more photos of the construction project at their website.
