Sure, it’s simple enough to turn “Do Not Disturb” on of off using the Control Center, (Swipe up from the bottom of your iOS device’s screen, and then tap the crescent moon to toggle DND on or off), but what if you’re driving, and you don’t want to be disturbed?
Use Siri to Turn Do Not Disturb On or Off
First, we should note that turning on Do Not Disturb will silence phone calls, alerts, and notifications, so be sure you really “vant to be alone, dahlink.”
- Summon Siri by either holding down the Home Button, or, on compatible devices, simply say, “Hey Siri!”
- Once Siri appears on screen, just say, “Turn on Do Not Disturb.” Siri will indicate that she has turned on the Do No Disturb feature. Now, you can go about your business, unbothered by any outside parties and their
whiningsmessages. - When you want to turn Do Not Disturb off, and once more begin receiving calls, messages, and notifications, simply summon Siri again, and say, “Turn off Do Not Disturb.” The information overload will begin once more.
