T-Mobile has announced another new promotion, “Summer Unleashed.” The carrier will offer all postpaid customers free unlimited high-speed data while traveling anywhere in Europe, (except the tiny country of Andorra), between July 1st and August 31st of this year.
The Magenta Carrier says its customers will receive the highest available data speeds (up to 4G LTE), wherever they are traveling in Europe, and it all happens automatically, with no steps needed on the customer’s part. Text messaging is free, and phone calls are 20 cents per minute.
“The carriers see your summer trip as the perfect occasion to slam you with insane international roaming charges. When you travel with the Un-carrier, you’ll never come home to surprise overages or crazy fees,” said John Legere, president and CEO of T-Mobile. “Travel with T-Mobile, and you can use your phone the way you want to without thinking twice! Share every fantastic moment and don’t pay a penny more for your data!”
In the same press release, the carrier announces this weekend it will be “gifting” one free hour of Gogo Wi-Fi service on any U.S. domestic flight that offers the in-flight internet service. The free hour of service will be available from Friday through Sunday, this coming weekend. Users do not need to be a T-Mobile customer to take advantage of the freebie.
Last but not least, T-Mobile will be adding Belize to its Simple Global coverage plan, beginning July 1st. This brings free unlimited low-speed data and texting, and calls for 20 cents per minute, to the country. Simple Global will now be available in all 20 countries in South & Central America.
