Latest Apple Campus 2 Drone Flyover Video Shows Construction Progress

It’s been one month since Matthew Roberts last shared a drone flyover video of Apple’s Campus 2 construction project, and his latest 4K footage shows a construction project that shows great progress towards making Apple’s end-of-year deadline.

The video shows quite a bit of progress on the main circular “spaceship” building, wth continued installation of solar panels and fuel cells, massive glass panels, and canopies. The campus is expected to generate up to 75% of its own power needs via the solar panels and fuel cells. The remaining energy needs will be met by a renewable energy supplier.

The exterior of Apple’s new research & development facility also appears to be nearing completion, and good progress is being shown on Apple’s huge new auditorium, and the huge employee fitness facility.

The parking facilities on the campus are coming along, with installation of the solar panels that will line the roof of the parking garages and other facilities looking to be nearing completion.

Apple CEO Tim Cook earlier this year confirmed construction of the new campus was on track to be ready for occupation early next year, when the Cupertino firm will begin moving in some 13,000 employees into their new digs.
