We told you on Wednesday how Netflix has finally begun supporting picture in picture mode on the iPad, so, in true MacTrast fashion, today we’re going to quickly show you how to disable the picture in picture feature.
Sure, picture in picture is a great feature, but there may be those among us who find it distracting, or might even accidentally enter the mode from time to time. Plus, it can be distracting if your kids are supposed to be studying on the iPad, and are instead watching Fireball XL5, or whatever it is the kids these days watch.
From the iPad in question, you simply need to do the following, as seen in the screenshot above:
With The “Persistent Video Overlay” turned off, the next time you exit Netflix or another video app, the video will stop playing, just like it did in previous versions of iOS.
