Apple on Thursday released an updated version of iOS 9.3.2 especially for the 9.7-inch iPad Pro. The new version presumably fixes an issue that caused some iPad Pro tablets to become bricked following installation of the original update.
The new version of iOS 9.3.2 – build 13F72 – is available for download and install over-the-air on any 9.7-inch iPad Pro that has not previously been updated to the latest version of the operating system.
iOS 9.3.2 was released to the public for all iOS devices on May 16, but soon after its release came reports of users who saw their 9.7-inch iPad Pro becoming “bricked” and useless after updating their device.
Apple soon pulled the update for the 9.7-inch iPad Pro, and told customers who had bricked devices to contact Apple support. No easy remedy was found for the issue, and many users who were affected by the issue reported Apple replaced their devices.
Apple will likely soon release a beta of iOS 9.3.3 for the affected device to developers, which had been held back because the bug had not yet been fixed.
