While we figured Apple would live stream the Worldwide Developers Conference 2016 (WWDC 2016) Keynote event on June 13, Apple was nice enough to confirm it via their events website today. The event will take place 10:00AM Pacific Time at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco.
Apple will make the WWDC 2016 keynote available for viewing on Macs and iOS devices via the Apple website, and on second, third, and fourth generation Apple TVs, via the Events app.
System requirements for Live Streaming are: Apple’s HTTP Live Streaming (HLS) technology. HLS requires an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with Safari on iOS 7.0 or later, a Mac with Safari 6.0.5 or later on OS X v10.8.5 or later, or a PC with Microsoft Edge on Windows 10. Streaming via Apple TV requires an Apple TV (2nd or 3rd generation) with software 6.2 or later or an Apple TV (4th generation).
Apple is expected to debut new versions of iOS, OS X, watchOS, and tvOS during the Keynote, and will possibly introduce new features for Siri and Apple Pay.
