Apple on Monday released OS X 10.11.5 El Capitan to the public. The release marks the fifth such update since the release of El Capitan in September 2015.
OS X 10.11.5 can be downloaded and installed via the “Update” tab in the Mac App Store. The update is available to all Macs running OS X El Capitan.
The update concentrates mostly on under-the-hood performance improvements, security enhancements, and bug fixes. There have been no visible changes to the interface, or any added or changed features, found in any of the four betas of the update that were released to developers and public beta testers.
