While most “concept” videos we see of wished for future versions of operating systems usually are full of pretty wishes and candy dreams, a recent iOS 10 concept video put together by Federico Vittici of MacStories and Sam Beckett show an intelligent and well thought out group of features that we think almost any iOS user would like to see.
We especially like the Dark mode, third-party app integration, and the Siri API for third-party apps. We think Apple needs to give developers more access to the features of iOS and its associated devices. We hope to see at least some of these ideas incorporated in some way, come Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference in June.
We also like the document picker in iCloud Drive, and the new features for iPad Split View multitasking that we believe are long overdue.
iOS 10 will be unveiled at WWDC 2016, with a likely fall release alongside the new iPhones. We can’t wait to see if any of the features from the above video make it into iOS 10. What do you think? Are the features shown in the video something you’d like to see in iOS 10? What did they miss? What would you like to see? Let us know below, or on Twitter.
