Apple’s Developer Portal Gets a Refresh

Apple refreshed developer portal went live on Thursday, bringing a revamped user interface, with a streamlined landing page, in the website equivalent of a facelift.

As shown above, the developer center now offers a streamlined landing page, with easy to notice links for commonly used assets. It also offers a direct link to iTunes Connect, where developers spend much of their time when launching and managing apps in the App Store.

Oddly enough, Apple hasn’t applied the new “flat” look to all of the sections of the portal, as some webpages, such as Certificates, Identifiers and Profiles, still sport the older three-dimensional look.

AppleInsider notes site navigation has also been revamped and includes a persistent sidebar containing Program Resources including Membership, People, Certificates, IDs & Profiles, iTunes Connect, CloudKit Dashboard and Code-Level Support. Overview, Membership, People and Code-Level Support feature seamless integration with the new design.

There is also a separate “Additional Resources” category containing links to Documentation, Forums, Bug Reporter and News & Updates.
