Apple on Monday confirmed the dates for their annual Worldwide Developers Conference 2016, as June 13 to 17. The event will, as usual, take place at the Moscone West Convention Center in San Francisco, California. The keynote will take place on Monday, June 13, at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium.

The Apple Worldwide Developers Conference kicks off June 13 in San Francisco. WWDC features more than 100 technical sessions, over 1,000 Apple engineers, hands-on labs, and the Apple Design Awards. Register now for an opportunity to join Apple’s renowned developer community at this year’s conference. Students and STEM organization members can also apply for a WWDC Scholarship to attend.
The popular conference offers developers the opportunity to meet with Apple engineers and attend hand-on lab sessions, technical presentations, and more. Likely to be unveiled at the event are iOS 10 and OS X 10.12, showing off what developers can expect to develop for in the coming year.
The event has become so popular that Apple only offers tickets to the event via a lottery system, with the winners chosen randomly from a pool of registered applicants. Developers can apply for a ticket now through Friday, April 22 at 10:00AM PDT. Winners of the opportunity to pay $1,599 for a ticket to the event will be notified by Monday, April 25 at 5:00PM PDT. Those wishing to purchase a ticket must have been a registered member of Apple’s Developer Program prior to Monday’s announcement.
Apple will also supply up to 350 WWDC scholarships to students and members of participating STEM organizations around the world. Apple will also be providing 125 scholarships to aspiring developers with financial limitations, the first time the company has done that.
For developers who are not lucky enough to win the right to purchase a ticket, or for some other reason are unable to attend, Apple plans to stream WWDC sessions live, both via its website and via the WWDC app.
