One of the coolest features of the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6 Plus is 3D Touch, with the ability “Peek” at and “Pop” into information in various apps. One of the apps that makes good use of Peek and Pop is the Apple Music app.
From the Home Screen, press on the Music app icon to access the Quick Action menu. You’ll have the choice of quickly playing the most recently played song, jumping directly to the Beats 1 broadcast, or searching your music.
If you’re browsing around in the Music app, and you come across a playlist or album, and you want a quick look at the songs included in the listing, just press firmly on the screen to Peek at the track listing.
You can then lift your finger to exit the Peek view. However, if you like what you see listed, you can swipe up on the Peek and access a menu that allows you to “Play,” “Shuffle,” or “Delete…” an Album; or, “Play,” “Shuffle,” or “Delete from my Music” in a Playlist. If you want to take a look at the complete playlist, just press a little harder to Pop into the listing.
Using Peek and Pop in the Apple Music app will help you keep the party rolling. Or make it easier to chill out after a long day. Remember, Peek and Pop responsibly, and don’t come complaining to us when it doesn’t work on your iPhone 5c.
