Report: 9.7-inch iPad Pro Available in 32GB and 128GB Capacities, Will Start at $599

9to5Mac’s Mark Gurman reports today that Apple’s much-rumored 9.7-inch iPad Pro will start at $599 for a 32GB Wi-Fi only model. The device, which is expected to debut at Monday’s media event, will also offer 128GB and LTE models.

The base 32GB model will start at $599, making it the most expensive base model 9.7-inch iPad ever. The new tablet will however, boast 32GB of storage, which is double of that in the current 16GB base model of the iPad Air 2. (The iPad Air 2 will likely remain a part of Apple’s lineup, probably available at $499.)

The 9.7-inch iPad Pro is widely expected to share some of the larger iPad Pro’s features, including an A9X chip with 4GB of RAM, a Smart Connector for accessories like a keyboard, four speakers, and an improved rear camera.

The smaller iPad Pro is expected to debut at Apple’s big media event this Monday. Also expected to debut is a 4-inch “iPhone SE,” as well as new Apple Watch bands. And just like we asked Santa for at Christmas, “maybe a few surprises.”

MacTrast will be live blogging the event, as we follow along on Apple’s livestream of the event. Coverage starts at 10AM Pacific, 1:00PM Eastern time, this Monday, March 21. Be there, or be a shape just a little different in measurement to an Apple iPad.
