Readdle’s PDF Expert Gets an Update – Adds iOS-to-Mac ‘Handoff’ Support

Readdle has updated PDF Expert, its popular PDF editor for iOS and Mac. The newly refreshed app now offers Handoff support, allowing users to begin working on a document on their iOS device, and easily pick up where they left off on their Mac.

Readdle:

Remember the pain of trying to find the best way to transfer a file from iPhone or iPad to your Mac? Did you use Email? AirDrop? iCloud? We have a better solution that works with one click of a button.

PDF Expert has long been a popular iOS app, allowing device users to view, edit, annotate, and merge PDF documents on the go. Readdle debuted a Mac version of the app late last year, and it quickly became one of the most popular PDF editors available for the Mac, and Apple named it as an “App of the Year” runner-up for 2015.

To transfer a PDF from your iOS device to your mac, simply click on the Handoff button in PDF Expert for Mac, and select the file you wish to transfer. Handoff will automatically transfer the PDF to your Mac. The transferred file includes all annotations and edits that were made in iOS. note, your iOS device and your Mac must be on the same Wi-Fi network to initiate and complete the transfer.

PDF Expert 5 for iOS devices is just $9.99, and is available in the App Store. [GET IT HERE] To celebrate the launch of Handoff capabilities on the Mac, PDF Expert for the Mac is on sale, today only, in the Mac App Store for $19.99, that’s 70% off its regular price of $59.99. Readdle says it is working on PDF Expert for Mac 2.0, that will include OCR and PDF text editing. Once the new version is released, the price will go up. However, the new version will be a free upgrade for all existing customers. so, there’s some added incentive to buy it today.
